Mr. Arbess is currently leading his own family office, Xerion-Pridelands. He is a former partner of Perella Weinberg Partners, a member of the Firm's Partners Committee, and portfolio manager of the PWP Xerion Funds. Prior to its joining with PWP in October 2007, he was the founder and chief investment officer of Xerion Partners from its establishment in 2003, during which time he achieved a 20%+ net return investment track record. Mr. Arbess has been engaged in complex corporate reorganizations and Special Situations for most of his 23-year professional career, having been continuously engaged in the U.S. leveraged and distressed credit markets since 1998.

Mr. Arbess began his professional career in 1987 as a first year associate at White & Case, an international law firm. He became a partner of White & Case in 1992 and was named the firm's Head of Global Privatization the same year. While at White & Case Mr. Arbess's focus was on industrial reorganizations and related privatization divestitures. Mr. Arbess advised the governments of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation on their overall privatization programs and on numerous cross-border privatization transactions, including the sale of Skoda to Volkswagen and the restructuring and disposition of one of Europe's largest downstream petrochemical industries.

He has served on numerous official and ad hoc stakeholder committees over the years. Mr. Arbess received law degrees at Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto) and the Harvard Law School.

Ravi Ugale joined GenSpring Family Offices in September 2011 and leads all the private capital solution efforts for the firm. He is responsible for the selection and coverage of illiquid long-dated assets such as private equity, private real estate and private real assets. Additionally, he is responsible for providing client advisory services to address client requests for ad hoc illiquid asset reviews and analysis and also for private capital solutions. Ravi brings to GenSpring over 20 years of alternative assets industry experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking and business operations. Ravi has built a career as an investor, fundraiser, corporate executive and entrepreneur responsible for growing new and existing business units into large profit centers. He has leveraged his experience in principal investing, mergers & acquisitions, and business development to guide early expansion and growth stage companies to boost profits, recruit talent, create mutually beneficial strategic partnerships, execute business plans, and establish exit plans. Ravi holds a M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Florida Atlantic University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Marquette University and a B.S. in Engineering from Pune University in India. Ravi was an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) from 2003-2013 and a past charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs). Ravi is also a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute and was a participant in the Stanford University/YPO Presidents Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Governance. In July 2014, Ravi successfully completed the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) Level II Private Equity Executive Education program.

Juan Garrido is the Managing Partner and CEO at Weston Hill, a company focused in wealth and asset management in Spain and LatAm. Previously, he was the Global Head of Investment Solutions at BBVA Private Bank based in New York. BBVA has extensive private banking businesses around the world including, Spain, Mexico, US, Switzerland, Turkey, China, and South America.

Before assuming his current responsibilities, he was Head of Investment Solutions for the Spanish Private Banking Division, defining the specific value proposal for Spanish HNWIs customer base. 

Previously, in the late nineties, Mr. Garrido founded SciEcon, a quantitative investment company. After years working for the most important Banks, Asset Managers and Insurances companies in Spain and Portugal, finally SciEcon sold its to BBVA.

Mr. Garrido has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Ph.D in Finance, both from Complutense University and has algorithms registrations in fields like portfolio selection, optimal asset allocation, statistical arbitrage and bonds arbitrage

Andy was born and raised in New Jersey, the grandson of Goya Foods founders Prudencio and Carolina and son of Joseph A. Unanue. He attended St. Joseph School in Bogota, New Jersey, Alpine Public School and Bergen Catholic High School.

Unanue received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.[4] He began working in his father's company in their Miami office, working his way up to President of Goya de Santo Domingo. In 1998,[5] he became Executive Vice President. Unanue became Goya's COO in 1999.

In February 2004, Unanue left Goya to establish a family office. Through his family office AU & Associates, LLC, he has made investments in companies such as Opt-Intelligence, Inc., BigFish Games, Inc. and eSchoolData, LLC. He was also a former Operating Executive of Palladium Equity Partners.

Mohammad Al Duaij graduated from Leeds University Business School in 2002 with accounting and finance honour degree. Mohammad started his career at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development as part of the Asian projects funding team followed by Global Investment House as investment manager forming and managing real estate funds globally. As in 2008 he is the managing director of a single family's office that his responsibilities compromise of investment in real estate and private equity, investment advisory, commodities trading and the retail business. Mr. Al Duaij earns his experience from transacting with diversfied projects and dealing with distinguished parties globally. Mr. Al Duaij is a surfer and mountain climber that reflects in his work to be a challenger and vertuousness. He also follows the family's philosophy to create the opportunity instead of waiting for it.

Luiz Felipe Andrade

Mr Andrade has worked for BlackRock as MD and Country Head of Brazil; to Itaú-Unibanco as Director responsible for Market and Liquidity Risk and to Unibanco Asset Management as Executive Managing Director. Mr Andrade was also consultant for Booz.Allen & Hamilton.

Mr. Andrade has also maintained ties with the academy, lecturing graduate courses (MSc and PhD level) of Financial Economics and Corporate Finance at Fundação Getulio Vargas.

He also has been an active member of the Industry Association (ANBIMA).

Charles I. Clarvit is CEO of his family office Clarvit Capital as of June 2015 after retiring from Vinci Partners-US, an asset and wealth management firm headquartered in Brazil. He is a former Managing Director and Co-Head of BlackRock Alternative Advisors ("BAA"?), the firm's fund of funds platform. Mr. Clarvit held significant portfolio management responsibilities and oversaw marketing strategy and client service for the fund of funds business on the BAA platform.

Mr. Clarvit serves on the Johns Hopkins University Board of Trustees and their Center for Financial Economics Advisory Board, as well as, the Advisory Board of the Information School at Syracuse University. He is an angel investor and Board Member of start-up Brand Yourself and AgeneBio. He earned a BA degree in social and behavioral sciences with a concentration in economics and statistics from Johns Hopkins University in 1978.

Prior to starting T5, Ira founded and ran Cove Capital Advisors, Inc. Cove Capital is a boutique financial restructuring, turnaround and distressed/bankruptcy M&A advisory firm. Cove Capital advised on over $5.5 billion of assignments, serving clients such as JP Morgan Chase, the Republic of Korea, Fleet Bank and others.

Before that, Ira was a Vice President in The Chase Manhattan Bank’s elite Restructuring Group. Ira was with Chase for over seven years focusing primarily on corporate loan restructurings to middle market and international companies. In that capacity, he restructured and/or sold over $1.5 billion of troubled debt. In addition to the above, Ira served as Liaison to Chase’s Global M&A Group with a mandate to identify bankrupt or distressed M&A opportunities for Chase’s top-tier clients. Further, Ira assisted in the formation of, and was an advisor to Knightbridge Capital Partners LLC, an investment bank established to do private placement transactions for growth and/or distressed companies.

Previously he served on the Advisory Board of Fairbanks Equity Funding Ltd., a hedge fund. For several years, Ira gave the keynote address to the world-wide, senior management of the Korea Exchange Bank at a Credit Analysis and Loan Classification seminar. In addition, in March 2000, Ira was chosen as one of the TOP 40 UNDER 40 by Business News New Jersey, a statewide, weekly business journal. Ira also is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Professor Ivan Lansberg is an organizational psychologist in New Haven, Connecticut. He is co-founder and a senior partner of Lansberg, Gersick & Associates LLC, a research and consulting firm specializing in family enterprise and family philanthropy. Ivan was a professor of organizational behavior at the Yale School of Management for seven years, and a Research Fellow at Yale’s Institute for Social and Policy Studies. Prior to his affiliation with Yale, Ivan taught at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Waldman holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Economic Policy Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Argentina. Alejandro was a committee member of the London, UK GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) chapter since 2009 until March of 2011.

A Stitch in Time was born in a delivery room. The women who brought the organization to life are gynecological health care professionals, three surgeons and a nurse-midwife, who met through work and affiliations with Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. The work led to friendship, and the realization that they were all active international medical volunteers with a shared commitment to making gynecological health care universally available to women in need. That commitment led to the birth of this new NGO.

Our name, A Stitch in Time, suggests that timely repairs go a long way to preventing more serious damage, and we think the notion holds true for global health care for women. In addition to the work in Bangladesh, we have begun to develop a new relationship with a remote hospital in Guatemala and we need your support to help us move forward.

We commit our time, our skills and our own money to the cause, but we need help paying for transportation and supplies. Your contribution will go directly to support these missions and to changing women’s lives.
